Hackmanite is a variety of sodalite that is usually pink, violet and even blue in colour. This type of sodalite will glow under UV light and change colour in the sun. It’s a natural gem stone found in Greenland and Afghanistan. It was first discovered in 1898. It is composed of sulphur-bearing sodalite and aegirine, its glow comes from the ratio of sulphur, potassium, titanium and iron in the stones core. To this day hackmanite has been a vital mineral in scientific research.
It is a stone that expresses talent, freedom and knowledge.
It gives us inner growth, self-discovery and mental clarity.
