Tibet Dorje Vajra
(Engraved Spiritual) Power Pendant.
The Vajra is a five-pronged ritual object used in Tibetan Buddhist ceremonies, symbolizing both the indestructibility of a diamond and the irresistible force of a thunderbolt. It embodies an unstoppable force, symbolizing the cutting through of ignorance, much like the weapon of the Vedic deity Indra, who used it to vanquish ignorance.
In Hinduism, Buddhism, and Jainism, the Vajra often represents spiritual firmness and power. In Tantric Buddhism, it symbolizes the nature of reality or sunyata, reflecting endless creativity, potency, and skilful activity. During rituals, the Vajra (representing the male principle and the fitness of action) is held in the right hand, while the bell (symbolizing the female principle and intelligence) is held in the left hand. Together, their interaction symbolizes the path to enlightenment
